We source our raw materials from women in forest-dependent communities, using traditional harvesting methods that protect both the forest and the people who rely on it. We keep our packaging minimal, reusable where possible, and always recyclable or biodegradable.

We also practice collective decision-making. That means the three of us lead and don’t make choices alone; we bring in our team, raw-material producers, retailers, and, yes, customers like you, because the decisions we make affect everyone. Good relationships lead to better outcomes, and we take them seriously.

We set our prices to reflect the true cost of what goes into a product: the labour, the ingredients, the care. Not what the market dictates.

It’s not the easiest way to run a business. But it’s the only way that feels right to us.

Unrefined kokum butter keeps its natural color, scent, and all its nutrients, including fatty acids and antioxidants. Refined kokum butter is processed to remove color and smell, but this also takes away some of the benefits. For skincare, unrefined is the better choice.
